The minister of labour, Chris Ngige has scheduled another meeting for Wednesday with leadership of ASUU to iron out grey areas

The Federal Government of Nigeria has faulted claims by the President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Prof Biodun Ogunyemi, that it has failed to deliver on the timelines on offers made to the union. Buhari, during a security meeting with the 36 governors in Abuja on Tuesday, said lecturers have failed to consider the larger challenges facing the country, which has resulted in the prolonged strike.
